What does a Funeral Director do?

A Funeral Director provides the funeral for your loved one. As well as being responsible for making all the necessary bookings. If a funeral plan is in place, it is the Funeral Director’s duty to respect the wishes stated in the plan and ensure all the requests are carried out accordingly. 

Their role often includes, but is not limited to:
– Collecting the deceased and taking them into their care.
– Embalming and dressing the body.
– Help with arranging the ceremony/service.
– Providing coffin bearers/hearse if requested.
– Dealing with any legal documents required for the service to take place.
– Offering practical support for families.
